Have you ever been in the place where you ask the Lord, “Are you kidding me?” Well….welcome to my world! We live a unique life; full of a faith filled walk that requires us to do things that most people shiver at. And yes, we have moved to Raleigh, NC!
I wonder if this is how the children of Israel felt? All the times when they had to pack up the tents and move as they followed the cloud? I think I have it bad packing this house and all of our belongings, but their moves were so much more involved. The thing we both have in common is that we are following the cloud by day and the fire by night!
I am not going to lie. It’s not always easy, but it is certainly the road that our family has chosen to walk. And trust me we would not have it any other way! Times and seasons change, but the Lord’s calling on your life does not. Where we are in the journey of that calling can look different. Sometimes it requires us to go to different places along the way, but it’s always His purposes and plans that make the difference.
By now you should have received the email with our new ministry address and contact information. We are in Raleigh, NC! It is a very exciting time for His Call Ministries and the Duncan family. As with any transition, you must be certain the Lord is in the details; and He is everywhere with this move! We now live three hours from each of the churches that we partner with! Not only that, but we have new relationships that are building here in Raleigh.
We have already told you about The Worship Center, but you need to hear a bit more. We have recently connected with a group of business men from Bermuda. These men have felt led by the Lord to relocate to the Raleigh area and will be doing so within the next few months. They have said they have no idea why Raleigh, but they know that the Lord is in it!
Let’s see, what about the banker who said he was so certain that the Lord was in our relocating to Raleigh, that he donated a seed of $1,000.00 to confirm that we were hearing from the Lord! We have never even met him, but have plans to meet with him now that we are settled. Of course, our faith was greatly affirmed!
We have had multiple people contact us from Lee University that are now living in the Raleigh/Durham area. These are friends in ministry whom we have been out of touch with for years that just happen to live here and desire to reconnect with our ministry.
There is also a group of Charismatic Catholics who would like for us to get involved with what they are doing in the area of Unity in the Body of Christ! The list goes on and on! Suffice it to say, we are confident that we are in God’s will with this move!
All of you know that I am a bit of a “cautious” mother; did you like the way I put that? Judah of course is my main concern and one of my absolute “must haves” in the move was to find a school for him that would catapult him into his college years. Yes, you guessed it; we found it here in Raleigh!
I would love to explain the miracle of getting him accepted, yes I said accepted into this school. There is currently a waiting list for students of all ages. Our neighbors told us they had their girls on the list for two years before they were accepted. Well, not be surprised by the Lord, but there was NO waiting list for incoming 9th graders! After what seemed to be a college entrance interview, our Judah was accepted without question.
But wait there’s more!
Because we serve in full time ministry, the school offers a 50% discount on tuition; making this amazing school more affordable than his previous school in VA. The school offers worship, weekly chapel, multiple choirs, marching band, symphonic band, two musical productions a year, and his favorite opportunity, a shop class that builds and designs the sets for both musical productions! That is his heart’s desire at the moment and how cool of God to give it to him!
As we are settling in, you can expect to hear more about the new connections that the Lord is crafting here in the area, as well as the next Kingdom Worship Institute, monthly nights of worship both here and abroad, and don’t forget multiple Throne Zones! God has opened doors for us to take it to the regions and states and even the nations! More details to come…
Keith, Judah and I are more than thankful that we have family and partners such as you to help us with this move, to walk through the new open doors, and continue the work He has called us to! Together we make a great team and we would not want to do it without each of YOU!!
